J-Shields Medical Face Shield
Our medical face shields are a smart choice to protect medical personnel from infection from splashes, sprays and spatter of bodily fluids.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many healthcare facilities to re-think how they use PPE. Since each COVID patient can require personnel to use 30-50 medical face shields the numbers add up quickly and can easily overwhelm supply. The J-Shield medical face shield resolves this challenge by offering a reusable solution. J-Pac designed its reusable medical face shield based on feedback from Boston’s world-renowned hospitals.
Made in the USA and In-Stock
The vast majority of medical face shields are made in China and ship to the US in large container ships. You can eliminate your dependence on Chinese manufacturers by selecting J-Pac as your medical face shield provider. Because our medical face shields are reusable, the per-use cost typically is below off-shore manufactured medical face shields.
Dependable PPE Protection
J-Shield medical face shields are typically supplemental PPE equipment used with medical face masks. The medical face shield protects sensitive mucus membranes of the face from splashes and spatter of bodily fluids. They are also a great solution to help reduce the use of expensive medical face masks and respirators.
Many face shield suppliers are not FDA-registered medical device companies. J-Pac is inspected by the FDA every two years and must meet medical device quality system requirements that are the law. We also test and certify our face shields to the industry standard Z87.1

How do I clean the face shield?
Our cleaning procedure is based on CDC guidelines. There is a Whitepaper on our site with more details.
There are two steps to cleaning and disinfection. Both work together to provide the best results:
- Don gloves
- Inspect the shield and discard if damage is found.
- Wash all surfaces in a warm soapy water solution.
- Wipe dry with a clean soft cloth or air dry. Air dry will reduce the chance of scratching the visor.
- Don gloves
- Wipe the shield from inside out using a 70% IPA solution.
- Allow IPA to contact the shield materials for the recommended time specified by the IPA manufacturer. Contact time is very important and different brands claim different contact times.
- Air dry.

Can I reuse the medical face shield?
Reusable Medical Face Shield
J-Shield - Reusable Medical Face Shield
Yes. However, reusing the face shield requires a cleaning procedure approved by the healthcare institution that are validated per regulatory requirements. The face shield materials are resistant to 10% Bleach, 70% IPA, VIREX and similar cleaning agents.
Studies show that each COVID-19 patient can require healthcare workers to use 50 disposable face shields. We believe this is an unnecessary environmental waste problem and exasperates the shortage of PPE. Reuse the face shield after cleaning with a healthcare institution’s approved cleaning protocol.
